‘Withy” a tough, flexible branch of an osier or other willow, used for tying, binding, or basketry. The Withy Ring is a statement piece, that can be worn every day, and also looks lovely stacked with one of the Gemstone Wobbly bands.
Sharlala Jewellery was founded in 2015 by Sharla Donovan, a New Zealand-born, East London resident passionate about craftsmanship and tools.
Inspired by natural elements and classic Renaissance jewelry, Sharlala’s pieces are both luxurious and comfortable. Sharla’s signature ‘Wobbly style’ designs are meant to be worn with ease, to be worn together, and to be built upon.
What is Gold Vermeil?
Whilst similar to gold plating, it has some key differences that make it distinctive. Vermeil is a technique originating in the 19th century, where gold was applied to Sterling Silver. (As apposed to gold plating which is on a base metal like copper or brass. It is also made through the gold plating technique, but requires a thicker layer of gold. Each of these beautiful rings have 6 layers.
